Perth Morris Men’s Christmas gathering

The Perth Morris Men with guests the Fair Maids of Perth and the Mad Tatters Morris will meet at the Northbridge Brewing Company for some dancing and liquid refreshment on the 7th of December to celebrate another good year of dancing.

Busy October November for the Perth Morris Men

The year is ending with a flurry of activity.  October kicked off with involvement in a Ben Elton film “Three Summers”.  Then the following events occurred.

  • October 16 saw us returning to perform at a Government House Open Day after a few years in the wilderness.  It used to be a regular gig for a number of years then a change of Governor ended it for a while.  We received a very nice “Thank you” letter – see government-house-2016-thank-you
  • October 22 saw us performing at a Shakespeare Festival.  We performed with the Fair Maids of Perth and then joined Souleiado dancers back at Laurel de Vietri’s house for post performance refreshments.
  • October 29 was a performance at the British Auto Classic Extravaganza at El Caballo
  • The following weekend (4th to 6th of November) was our annual Down South Tour where we visited Bush Shack Brewery, Eagle Bay Brewery and Caves House for dancing and drinking.

Perth Morris Practice (3rd Wednesday)

Perth Morris Men practice on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Seaward Guide Hall in Monash Avenue Nedlands adjacent to the Hollywood Primary School.  If it is your 1st time it is advisable to contact the Squire Steve Mansfield on 0400 731 049 or by email squire@perthmorrismen.org as we do occasionally dance somewhere else.

Shakespeare Festival Day Performance

We have been asked to perform at the Shakespeare Festival Day at the UWA – see Festival Day

Perth Morris Men’s EGM

We are going down the path towards Incorporation.  As a consequence we have to modify our existing constitution to conform with the requirements.  This means that we have to have an Extraordinary General Meeting to sort it out.

Holly Wood Tuesday Morning Show Performance

The Perth Morris Men are performing for the Holly Wood Tuesday Morning Show hosted by Bernard Carney.  The Fair Maids of Perth will also be performing.  For more information on the shows – see Shows.

For the program – see Tuesday Morning Show June July 2016 Program

Perth Morris Men’s AGM

Well it has to happen once a year (the clue is in the name really!) so on the 1st of June we will reflect on the last twelve months, contemplate the future and discuss anything else as needed.

Perth Morris Men practice twice a month other dancing commitments permitting in a Guide Hall in Monash Avenue Nedlands.  The Guide Hall is adjacent to the Hollywood Primary School.

We practice from 7 to 9 then adjourn to a nearby pub.

If it is your first time it would be advisable to contact the Squire Steven Mansfield on 0400 731 049 or via email squire@perthmorrismen.org as we occasionally will perform elsewhere instead of practice.
